In a previous blog post Ezine or Newsletter, Why They’re Important, I explained how having an ezine maintains a relationship with your list.
Another important reason to have a regular ezine is to gain income from it, or to monetize it. There are many ways to monetize an ezine.
Ways to Monetize an Ezine
1. Promote a product your have, with a link to a page to buy the product.
2. Have a “recommended resource” section that recommends a person as a resource to your list. Make sure they give you an affiliate link to put in your ezine, so you can record and receive commissions.
3. Promote your own event or class, and put links to your sales page or event information page in your newsletter.
4. Include an invitation to your readers with a link to fill out an online application that will allow the applicant to book an appointment with you to determine if they will become your client. This is where your VIPs can come from, who will invest in you at a high level.
Admittedly, the monetizing part of an ezine is what can slow down the production of an ezine more than the other sections because you have to get live links to correct pages that don’t have mistakes in them or you won’t be monetizing it with incorrect links.
