Why do Keyword Research?
The internet is like a dark forest, and you get lost with no clue of how to find your way around. It’s like a deep ocean, and you feel like you’re drowning in too much information. It it’s like a loud noise that just won’t stop, with all of the “noise” or traffic and advertisements out there.
How will you ever get anyone to find your landing page, your website, or your products?
The answer is hands down keyword research.
Whether you pay for your ads or just write lots of content to have people find you when they search for what you have, either way you must do keyword research.
Whether you do it yourself or have someone do it for you, it must be done.
Most people use free keyword research tools, and there are many out there. Some common free keyword research tools are the Google Keyword Planner, Soovle, Ubersuggest, Wordstream Keyword Tool, and more.
You put these keywords in every piece of content you put online, whether it’s your blog posts, articles, videos, podcasts, images, press releases, URLs, or website pages, this is how people find you.
Here’s an example of what happens when you don’t use keywords. I was analyzing the blog posts of a client of mine, who was very diligent in writing her posts, but said she had low visits to her website. When I looked in her admin area of her blog posts, I noticed that although she had posted over 100 blog posts, none of them had any keywords associated with them in any of the places keywords should have been. This is why no one was finding her posts.
